2023 Signings - Returning Players and New Faces
As we gear up for our huge 2023 campaign, we're thrilled to announce a number of returning players and also welcome some new faces to the family.
Welcome Back
Ed Fidow - Wing
An electric winger, Ed was the leading try scorer of #MLR2022 and is an international representative for Manu Samoa. Ed played for Samoa at the RWC 2019 and during the July internationals this year. We can’t wait to see him back in NY colors next season.
Brendon O'Connor - Loose Forward
The #MLR2022 Forward of the Year returns in 2023. A dynamic link player and breakdown menace, we can’t wait to see what Brendon has in store next season. Learn more about Brendon and his journey to New York here.
Benja Bonasso - Loose Forward
Benja is back in 2023. Since making his debut for Rugby New York in 2021, Benja has gone on to captain the team and also represent USA Eagles. We can’t wait to see Benja back in action next season.
Chance Wenglewski - Prop
Crowd favorite and USA Eagle prop, Chance will be back for our #MLR2023 campaign. One of starting props at the 2022 MLR Final, Chance is also an incredible artist who designed our popular special edition NY rugby tees.
New Signings
Brad Tucker - Lock
Brad is a fierce 6’5” lock who joins us from Seattle for the 2023 season. Brad is an MLR veteran and brother of Will Tucker (our starting No.6 in the 2022 MLR Final) - we can't wait to see him rip in.
Tevita Langi - Prop
Tevita is a powerful young prop who joins us from North Harbour and has previously spent time with the Blues. Tevita will help bolster our front row - and we look forward to welcoming him to the Big Apple.
Nick Feakes - Back Three
An elusive speedster in the backfield, Nick joins us from New Orleans for the 2023 season. We can't wait to see him light up Broadway in a NY jersey.
